Тема урока: The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 Цель: To introduce pupils with the Constitution’s  general provisions, to teach how to use  grammar structure “Shall” as an auxiliary verb and a as a modal verb. To develop  all four skills of the lesson : speaking, reading, listening and writing.

                                                                          Ход урока:

I. Организационный момент

– Glad to see you! I see you’re in a good mood today. Great! It means everything is OK in your families and in our Republic. What’s great that we, the people of Kazakhstan live in friendly country!.  I’m sure that everybody of you think like me.  (Ответы обучающихся)

II. Актуализация знаний

– How wonderful to have a sovereign state! We can rely on it, because the Republic of Kazakhstan proclaims itself a democratic, secular, legal and social state whose highest values are  an individual, his life, rights and freedoms.. Do you agree with me? (Ответы обучающихся)

III. Постановка цели урока

– Now I suggest you a watch a video-lesson about of Kazakhstan. Please, try to find out what are we going to discuss at the lesson. (Cлайд 1, без звука, так как обучающиеся должны по видео определить тему урока)

(Ответ обучающихся может быть разнообразным: “Kazakhstan”, “State symbols”, “Sovereignty”, но учитель должен подвести наводящими вопросами, беседуя и попытаться; чтобы учащиеся ответили  на вопрос “What is the basic low in Kazakhstan ?”)

IV. Первичное восприятие и усвоение нового материала (На экране появляется тест Конституции РК. ; учитель просит одного из учащегося прочитать, после чего весь класс переводит текст).

                     The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan

    We, the people of Kazakhstan, united by a common historic fate, creating a state on the indigenous Kazakh land, considering ourselves a peace-loving and civil society, dedicated to the ideals of freedom, equality and concord, wishing to take a worthy place in the world community, realizing our high responsibility before the present and future generations, proceeding from our sovereign right, accept this Constitution

 IV. Фонетическое упражнение.

– We’re ready to continue and it’s interesting to know the general provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, but first of all let’s write down some new English words and after than you (pupils) have to read and translate each article in turn

General provisions-общие положения

Public concord-общественное согласие

Stability-стабильность

For the benefit-на благо

Unitary state-унитарное государство

Appropriation of power- присвоение власти

Be persecuted-преследуется законом

VI. Актуализация знаний

-As you see, we have just know this new words and can use them in translation of Constitution’s  general provisions (etc. articles). How, I will give out to each of my pupil the text with article and you have to translate it as quick as possible. Do you understand to me ?

                                              The Constitution’s  general provisions

Article1

1.The Republic of Kazakhstan proclaims itself a democratic, secular, legal and social state whose highest values are an individual, his life, rights and freedoms.

2.The fundamental principles of the activity of the Republic are public concord and political stability; economic development for the benefit of the nation.

Article2

1.The Republic of Kazakhstan is a with a presidential form of government.

2.sovereignty of the Republic extends to its entire territory.

3.The administrative and territorial division of the Republic of Kazakhstan, location and states of its capital are determined by law.

4.The names “The Republic of Kazakhstan” and “Kazakhstan” have the same meaning.

Article 3

1.The people shall be the only source of the state power.

2. The state power in the Republic of Kazakhstan is unified and executed on the basic of the Constitution and laws in accordance with the principle of its division into the legislative, executive and judicial branches and a system of checks and balances that governs their interaction.

Article 9

The Republic of Kazakhstan shall have its state symbol-the flag, emblem and anthem. Their description and order of official use shall be established by the  Constitutional Law.

 

-Well, read the text  again and after then  you should answer the question  at the page 123 ex.5

VII. Grammar  Объяснение использования «shall» в условиях выполнения упражнений

Well, I would like to explain you how to use modal verb “Shall” in making of sentence.

REMEMBER

Shall употребляется со 2-м и 3-м  лицом ед. и мн. числа в договорах, контрактах и других документах в модальном значении, придавая действию в будущем времени оттенок долженствования и переводится как «должен» с инфинитивом.

Now, you should read and do ex.6. while reading the documents pay attention to the meaning of the modal verb Shall” as an auxiliary verb and as a modal verb.

 VII. Самостоятельное использование сформированных умений и навыков

Read the text 6.and try to find answers to the questions of exercise 1.

 

-Who makes laws in Kazakhstan?

-What do you know about the Constitution of Kazakhstan?

-What do you know about the functions of the Senate and the Majilis?

-What political parties of Kazakhstan do you know?

-Who might be elected to the Parliament in Kazakhstan?

-What are the members of the Parliament (Mp) responsible for?

-Do they receive salaries?

-Do they have a part time or  full time secretaries?

-What does the speaker do?

-Does the Speaker open the debate and ask MPs to give their opinions?

-Should they wait until the Speaker invites them to speak?

-Should or shouldn’t MPs interrupt each other?

-Who announced the result at the end of the session (debate)?

-Do you want to be a MP?

 

-Comment: One of my students said “I proud to be a citizen of Kazakhstan. Because in our country  have no any war! We are  friendly and happy  also in our country live very many other different nationalities. Is it great isn’t it?    ”

VIII. Обобщение усвоенного материала

– I’m very happy you have succeeded in doing this task. Thank you. Next task will be more easily as previous I think because you have just read  and answered similar tasks.

Read the text 6 again and do exercise 8 add some more to the diagram. (Cлайд 2, обучающиеся заполняют диаграмму  в тетради и на доске и затем зачитывают своим предложения, после чего учитель предлагает просмотреть на слайде отдельные словосочетания с целью дополнения записи. Данное задание не только подводит итог урока, но и готовит обучающихся к домашнему заданию.)

IX. Домашнее задание

– Open your books at page 122 ex.4. Learn by heart the text of the Constitution . Ex.9. Write out the President’s oath from the text and learn it by heart.  

X. Рефлексия деятельности

– Tell me, please, if our lesson will help you to do your homework. What have you learnt today? Do you like our lesson? Have you worked hard/ with pleasure or were you lazy/inactive? (Обучающиеся заполняют рефлексивную таблицу и учитель подводит итог урока)
